In November 2008, Chile and Indonesia decided to establish a joint task force on the benefits of a bilateral free trade agreement. The final report was finalized in November 2009. On August 11, 2020, Chile and Indonesia remember the one-year free trade agreement between Chile and Indonesia. On November 28, 2018, the Chilean Senate approved the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement between Chile and Indonesia. On October 8, 2019, Chile ratified the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Chile and Indonesia (CEPA), which came into force on August 10, 2019.
